Feedback for IDC's 2nd Semester Event: Dance...or Rally?

Hi everyone!! Thanks for giving us all your suggestions in class today – as requested, here's a blogger if you have more ideas for IDC's second semester event. Again, we'd love your feedback about whether IDC should consider hosting (1) an interdistrict rally (like Fantastics) or (2) an interdistrict dance. Some things we came up with today that you might keep in mind... We're aiming for an event that allows students across the district to get to know each other. We're also keeping in mind cost and resources needed. Rally: May have more energy and people may be more comfortable, fosters school and not FUHSD pride since Lynbrook traditionally does really well, games should focus on uniting the schools. Dance: People might remain in cliques by their school, or could also be more inclusive and bring people together. We'll be taking feedback until 12/3, the day of our IDC meeting when we share all these ideas. If you have any feedback about these events or...

Staff Appreciation Week

hey kids! as you probably know by now last week, oh wait jk last last week oops, was staff appreciation week! Winter Lunchtime Activity Brainstorm

Hey guys! Spirit would like your thoughts on having a lunchtime activity during CommLink's Holiday. Components would include a Guess the # of Candy Canes (similar to past Halloween events) through the week, and a non-denominational holiday game (such as the one demonstrated). We'd especially like feedback regarding: -game ideas! -candy ideas -the event in general :) This blogger closes December 2nd, but please get your comments in as soon as possible. Thanks! Spirit

Holiday Decs Brainstorm

Image
Hello festive frands!!!!! Please leave some ideas for holiday decs! A few things to keep in mind: - can't be centered around Christmas, Hanukkah, or any specific holiday, just winter in general - therefore can't be red/green themed, I was thinking silver or blue - almost every commission has projects during those 2 weeks, so some promotion or maybe a calendar might have to be incorporated into the decs - clink's doing an advent calendar - something that anna brought up: hanukkah colors are white and blue, but some holiday stuff (snow, snowflakes) is just naturally white and light blue, so lmk what you think about that Current ideas: - 3d toy blocks, 1x1x1 ft, spelling out "happy holidays" - a photobooth that clink + pr will be designing!! if you have design ideas, let us know - we need suggestions for the location and spacing of most things - we could use 2020's huge gingerbread house from hoco, but we'd have to spend time reassem...

Charity Week Blogger

Hey ASB!  Please let Commlink know your thought about the events that happened during Charity Week. Some things to keep in mind if you worked coin wars, the infographic making or the pieing event are the organization of it all, efficiency, and/or what could have gone better. We would also love feedback in reference to the promotion of all the events that happened this week (banners, fb posts, etc). If you have any constructive criticism about the charities we chose, how we integrated them into the rally/spirit days, how our infographics were made, or anything else in general, please write about it down below! We'll make sure to read all your comments, and include it in our reflection for next year's project leaders. Thank you!

Food Truck Fest Brainstorm

Hi kids, We talked about this in class , but food truck fest was originally on the last day of finals, which is Thursday, December 20. The problem is that the food trucks may not be available to start serving food after the finals at 10 pm, so we were thinking of switching the event up a little bit. Let us know if you guys have any ideas that could possibly replace food truck fest. Thanks! Social :)

Homecoming Recognition Party

Hi guys! I know this happened a while ago, but I would love some feedback on the Homecoming Rec Party on October 25!  If you volunteered for the party, let me know how you thought your shift was or what could have been better especially in terms of communication. If you attended, comment on how you thought the party went in general, specifically: wait time, crowd, location, invitation process, or anything that could have been better. If you are a CP, let me know how the invite process went in your perspective, or how it can be improved next year.  Thanks so much!
